This pattern is available for purchase through my Etsy shop. Access to the downloadable file is available immediately after payment is completed.

AG Libby Cover 2014

This dress pattern, named “Libby,”was designed for the 18″American Girl doll. This pattern was created using a genuine American Girl purchased in 2013 as a model.

“Libby” is a simple dress, easy to sew, with clean lines. You can let your creativity loose with different fabric selections, trims, hand and machine embroidery, etc, to create dresses with this pattern that are truly unique. It’s a high-waisted, sleeveless dress with a rounded neckline and gathered skirt. The bodice is fully lined and it closes with Velcro®.

“Libby” is beginner level dress. Along with the cover page and one page of pattern pieces, the pattern includes 3 pages of instructions with photos to guide you through the process.

*IMPORTANT: As part of your pattern, you will need to download a free copy of the DOLLY DELICACIES Sewing Guide, which acts as a supplement to the instructions found in this file. Download instructions are contained in the pattern and also on my Shop Policies page.*

“Libby” dresses would make wonderful holiday gifts for all the little princesses in your life, as well as great swap items, and new additions to your store. Permission is granted to the buyer for commercial use with credit given to the author. More information is included in the instructions.

The pattern is in PDF format, and delivery is immediate. Once you complete your payment, you will receive an email from Etsy with download instructions. You will also be able to access your purchase under “Purchases” in your account.

In addition to years of sewing experience, both personal and professional, I hold a degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with training in pattern-making. I’ve also taught beginner- and intermediate-level sewing classes. Every effort has been made to create a pattern that fits beautifully and is easy to understand and sew. I hope you’ll give it a try.

Thank you!
